The ability to bend energy, the intense hum or vibration of a place that affects your nervous system, and ways of just...knowing. My grandmother too was Strega, but from the Campania region. I really can't tell you how taken I was with your piece. I've never heard anyone (other than me and my brother) talk about these kinds of experiences. I know I inherited a lot more than just genes from my ancestors. I know what you mean about the writing coming from a special place. I can only write when I'm moved to and the story I write is led by spirit and the muses. I ask openly to be guided and hope only to serve a greater purpose. I'm not sure what that is, maybe just for my kids to read my ramblings someday. I don't know, but I'm so glad to know you and can't wait to read more about your experiences.
